About Porter Systems
Lutron specialists,
built on the detail.
Porter Systems is a Lutron lighting control specialist based in Woking, working with private clients, developers and main contractors across Surrey and London.

01 / Who we are
Founded by
Tom Porter.
Porter Systems was founded by Tom Porter, a lighting control specialist with a background in electrical installation and computer science. That combination sits at the heart of the business: an electrician’s understanding of how an installation is built, and a programmer’s approach to how it should behave.
Tom has worked with Lutron since 2012, installing and programming HomeWorks from the Illumination series through QS to today’s QSX, alongside RadioRA and Lutron shading. Porter Systems is a Lutron dealer, and Tom is HomeWorks trained.
We provide ongoing support, maintenance and upgrades, so the systems we deliver keep performing long after handover.
02 / Who we work with
Clients, developers
and contractors.
Private clients
Homeowners planning a renovation, a new build or an upgrade to an existing Lutron system. We explain the options clearly and look after the system for the long term.
Developers
Lutron lighting and shading designed, supplied and commissioned to programme, with minimal coordination needed from your team.
Main contractors
A specialist who works directly with the site team, resolves the technical interfaces early and turns up when we say we will.
03 / Our values
How we work.
Clarity
Relationships are built on trust. We are open and honest about options, costs and timings.
Reliability
In our technology and in our client care. We do what we say we are going to do.
Fairness
We treat clients, contractors and colleagues with the respect we would expect ourselves.
Helpfulness
We go beyond our own scope when it helps, because the goal is a finished project that works.
